FracTone is a set of unofficial tools for Fractal Audio's FM9. Not affiliated with Fractal Audio Systems.
What's here
- The FracTone website: describe a guitar tone and get an FM9 preset (.syx) with every block editable, then match it to a recording. Accounts are invite-only.
- MCP server and skills: let an AI agent such as Claude Code or Pi read, edit, audition, store and back up presets on an FM9 connected to your PC. Free and open source.
- Probe tool (coming soon): a small program Axe-Fx III and FM3 owners can run to help FracTone support those devices.
