FracTone is a free hobby project. Please read this before you load, store or share anything it makes. It's written in plain English and isn't legal advice.

Use at your own risk

• As-is, no warranty. FracTone, this website, the MCP server and skills, and the probe tool are provided free and as-is, without any warranty. They may have bugs, and a preset may not sound or behave as described.
• Not responsible for damage. We're not responsible for damage to your devices, lost or changed presets, data loss or any other harm that comes from using FracTone or anything it makes.
• Back up first. Before you load or store anything, back up your presets, for example with FM9-Edit, FM3-Edit, Axe-Edit or Fractal-Bot. Writing to hardware always carries some risk.
• FM3 and Axe-Fx III presets are an unverified beta. They're translated from the FM9 and haven't been checked on those devices.
• Check levels before you play a new preset loud.

FracTone is unofficial and not affiliated with or endorsed by Fractal Audio Systems. Fractal Audio, FM9, FM3, Axe-Fx, FM9-Edit, FM3-Edit, Axe-Edit and Fractal-Bot are their trademarks.

Audio you capture

If you capture or record audio from a website or streaming service (for example for tone matching), you're responsible for following that site's terms.

Open-source licences

The MCP server, skills and probe tool are open source. Their licence (MIT) includes its own warranty disclaimer, and that licence is what applies to the code.

Changes

If this disclaimer changes in a way that matters, we'll ask account holders to read and accept it again.
